The Nito Project seeks to inspire people of all ages, across the world, to learn about Natural Building and crafting with earth. We share the techniques that we've learnt as kids and adults in the hope that it will encourage you to build naturally. We love creating films that are well-crafted artistic products.
We are two brothers, Benito and Kalin Steen. We live in Canelo, Arizona, where we grew up homeschooled, building with our parents. Our parents run workshops annually at the Canelo Project.
Benito is a builder, artist and educator. He gravitated early on towards the trades and arts such as plastering, blacksmithing and woodworking. Always learning and experimenting, he mixes old techniques with the new, to create beautifully sustainable and healthy houses.
Kalin is a photographer, musician and designer. He has been doing photography with his dad from a young age. He does a majority of the filming for the Nito Project.

I have a dirt floor in my adobe home, and it’s wonderful, the hardest thing after it has been sealed, is to fix the chips and cracks. I usually makes Elmers glue in with the mud.

@8:40 it looks like a dino egg 🥚 (or maybe a Kidney Stone from an Elephant!) LoL. Cool work but they don't make very good cannon balls, not even for a potato gun. Artistically they look amazing.
